The G&L Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic Custom is a vintage-styled axe with an updated pickup configuration and a finish you can only find here at Sweetwater. This familiar instrument is super comfortable to play and features a one-piece swamp ash body for warmth and resonance. A bolt-on maple neck and "Medium C" neck profile provide excellent playability and response. The Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic Custom is loaded with a soapbar-style neck pickup for a snarling tone that's complemented by an MFD single-coil bridge pickup for spanky solos and lead lines. The rest of the guitar features classic design elements, including a traditional boxed-steel bridge, bone nut, and an old-school control plate.
One-piece ash body
The ASAT Classic Custom's body is made from a single piece of swamp ash. Aside from its fantastic looks, swamp ash provides a solid tonal foundation. It blends bottom-end warmth and top-end brightness to create an excellently balanced tone with bucket loads of resonance. Slung over your shoulder, the 1-piece body feels lightweight and comfortable for extended playing sessions. Rounding out the guitar's design is a maple neck with an ultra-playable 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and 22 medium jumbo frets.
Unique pickup configuration
The G&L Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Special features a pickup configuration you won't find on any other ASAT model guitar. In the bridge position, you get a Leo Fender-designed Magnetic Field Design single-coil pickup for the classic spank and twang you know and love. In the neck position, the ASAT Classic Custom's soapbar-style pickup serves up audacious tone with some serious harmonic complexity.
