Ranger XII VR EQ Honey Burst is the 12 strings electrified acoustic guitar from the “Vintage Reissue” line with Dreadnought shape from Eko Guitars, amplified with a Fishman Sonitone system. It celebrates the original models from the 1960s by re-proposing features from the past combined with more modern construction choices. It features a Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and South American Roupanà fingerboard. An affordable acoustic guitar, perfect for students, for live use, for vintage enthusiasts and for those who decide to start studying guitar with a reliable, high-performance instrument.
Ranger VR XII, the re birth of an iconic classic guitar.
The first edition of this guitar goes back to 1962 when EKO decided on producing a series of folk guitars based on the popular dreadnought shape, very much in fashion in the U.S. at the time. The first 12 String known as J56 quickly became the best-selling 12-string guitar on the market.
To respond to the demand of the many aficionados, EKO is now continuing the tradition of the Ranger by introducing this Vintage Reissue version, still preserving all of the main features of the original model like the Bolt-On neck and the adjustable aluminum bridge saddle, the zero-fret and the square dots. Technically improved, still maintaining the same combination of natural mahogany back and sides with the reinforced spruce top. Visually retro fitted with the stylish newly designed bridge and the revised pick guard that maintains the typical shape as in the past.
